People, Just How Far Does Dubya Have To Go?
I heard some Spin Doctor the other day on the television trying to scare the American people from voting for Democratic Party candidates. In addition to the regular “a vote for a democrat is a vote for terrorism” banter he was also applauding the Bush administration for returning respectability to the white house in the eyes of the American people, considering how few congressional inquiries Dubya has had investigating his administration compared to all of the congressional inquires into the Clinton Administration.
Are you kidding me?
I was sitting there waiting on the news anchor he was saying this to state the obvious, but he never did.
Dubya is a Republican President with a Republican majority in both houses of Congress.
Why would they investigate their own? So that they can make their own party look bad in the eyes of the American people?
That is the Democratic Party’s job. Let’s see how many congressional inquires Bush has to deal with if they take over both the House and the Senate this fall.
We can only hope.
I have no faith in the American voting public anymore.
No, that all ended when Bush was elected to his second term as President of the United States.
Up until that point I thought Bush had done enough to show is incompetence, but apparently what he needed was to be reelected for that to show because not two months after he was sworn in his approval rating was below 40%.
1 in 5 people that voted for him just two months earlier were disapproving of his job performance.
Amazing. It really makes you wonder what they thought was going to happen in those 60 days.
If voting for Kerry was a vote for terror did they think they would vote for Bush and all the terrorists in the world were just going to surrender and give up?
I’ll tell you what I do have total faith in and that is Karl Rove. I have total faith that Karl Rove will do whatever he does to make sure that voting booths don’t work and that totally irrelevant issues are placed on the ballot, proposing laws that might not even be constitutional, but it gets the Jesus freak to come out to vote for his candidates.
How can a guy say something like the Bush administration actually returned respectability to the white house, considering how few congressional inquiries Dubya has had looking in to his administration, and not have an unbiased journalist not call him on that?
Well it was on the FOX news network so I guess that answers my question.
When and if they ever hire and unbiased journalist over at FOX I am sure he or she won’t be allowed to interview Republican spin doctors on national television 4 days before an election.
Hell, he probably wouldn’t be allowed to work in front of a camera that entire year.
When the Vice President of the United States refuses to hear is going on in the world if its not coming from The O'Reilly Factor or Hannity & Colmes that should tell you not just something about Dick Cheney, but everything.
The inspectors general for the Commerce Department and NASA has begun sweeping investigations of the Bush administration's censorship and suppression" of federal research into global warming.
Apparently internal documents and agency correspondences exist that will expose widespread misconduct where the Bush administration deliberately altered scientific research in order to forward their agenda.
You don’t say?
NASA even complained that public affairs officer George Deutsch, changed or filtered information on global warming and the Big Bang to fit the administrations agenda. For example Deutsch insisted that every time the Big Band was mentioned on the NASA website that the word “theory” be inserted. The Scientific Journal Nature claims that administrators at the Commerce Department's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration blocked the release of a report that linked hurricane strength and frequency to global warming.
In my opinion, the Bush administration should not be concerned about changing scientific data or suppressing scientific information. If science is proving that we are screwing up the environment why would the Conservative Right be so short-sighted as to suppress that information?
Oh I know why. It’s pretty much the same reason every time.
Because there is money being made today by keeping things the way that they are tomorrow.
Plus, Karl Rove knows damn well that when the environment get beyond repair he plans to use it as a campaign issue. He’ll say that Democrats aren’t doing enough to keep the green slug out of our tap water and that it was Clinton’s fault that there aren’t any birds flying around anymore.
I can hear Bill O’Reilly right now saying that the reason there aren’t any birds anymore is because the Democrats wouldn’t let honest, law abiding gun-owning Americans hunt the damn things to thin out their numbers more. Since there wasn’t enough food for all of them to eat because we had totally destroyed their natural habitat the democrats should’ve let them kill more of them so that they ones they didn’t kill could’ve survived on the little food that was left.
And the Democrats would sit there and let them do it because, well, they are pussy and that is what pussy does.
It sits there and waits to get fucked.
Do I sound bitter?
What do Americans really think about Dubya? What do the American people really think about Dubya? And I am not just talking about the blacks, homosexuals, Jews, the lonely and the damned to hell.
