Dubya: "I'll stay in Iraq even if the only support I have left is from my wife and my dog."
Bush has been quoted by journalist Bob Woodward as saying, "I'll stay in Iraq even if the only support I have left is from my wife and my dog."
That, in a nutshell is exactly why I can’t stand Dubya.
If you can look past his administration spying on American citizens, accusing critics of his administration of being traitors to their country, censoring scientists come up with findings that he doesn’t like, using the Patriot Act to undermine American civil liberties and advocating torture against people who are “a threat to our way of life” while at the exact same time holding it against North Korea, China and Russia for torturing people who are against their way of life, then you probably think he’s great.
I can remember when I didn’t have an opinion of him one way or the other.
At one time he was just a candidate that loved Jesus, hated homosexuals, and was so pro-life that even brain dead people should be kept alive indefinitely.
Then 9-11 came around and he became much more than that. Or much less than that, depending on your point of view.
My opinion of Dubya all came to change during that almost comical build up to war with Iraq when Dubya was basically telling the American people what we were going to do, whether we wanted to or not, was go to war.
When people asked him for evidence to supports his insistence that Saddam Hussein was the worst thing since
all he could provide were forged documents and blurry photographs. Then he told the world that they were either with us or against us.
Most said, “That’s fine you Moron. Have it your way. We are against you.”
Those that were with us Dubya had to offer them billions in aid.
With evidence like his allies don’t come cheap.
The world was laughing at us.
His evidence was shaky at best. Now he admits it. He doesn’t have a choice. He reasons for getting us into this mess never materialized.
But Dubya had conviction didn’t he? Some people look at that as a good thing.
But now most Americans know better. Bush is a moron and morons can have conviction towards a lot of things that the average person wouldn’t.
I know a lot of morons that have conviction that if they play the lottery often enough they won’t have to worry about saving for retirement.
Like I said, some people look at conviction as a good thing.
There was nothing in his words or his demeanor which said to me that this man gave two shits about what anyone else thought about anything.
He didn’t care about evidence. He blames the CIA today for all of his bogus “evidence”, but he didn’t care about the quality of evidence at the time. We know that for a fact because people were saying it was flawed when we got it.
He could’ve went to BBC.com like I did and found out that certain documents he had Colin Powell present to the UN as evidence were forged.
No one was asking him to do much.
In his mind, it seemed he was working on the premise that he was king of the world and if we didn’t like it, tough.
This quote about staying in Iraq if the only support he has left is his wife and his dog is illustrative of that.
If all of your advisors, all of the experts, all of the people who know a lot more than you do are telling you that you’re making a mistake why would you stick with the current course?
What makes you so much smarter than everyone else?
I’ll tell you why. President Bush has what they use to call in the days of medieval Europe, Démesuré or Sinful pride.
Bush acts as if he can’t be wrong because being wrong would be a reflection of him. Like he would be less of a person if he were to be wrong about something, therefore, in the interests of protecting his fragile ego, he sticks to his plan whether it’s working or not.
In his mind, it is better to stick with something that is not working than to admit that he was wrong in the first place.
And personally, that scenario is better than the other possibility, which is that this moron thinks that God has ordained him some leader of the free world who is above reproach and that he sticks to his plans even if the only people that support him are his dog and his wife because that is what Jesus would like him to do.
Now that is really a scary thought.
Honestly, the only reason I can give that George Bush isn’t the anti-Christ is because the anti-Christ is supposed to sneak up on everyone. He is going to be the person we all least suspect.
Dubya can’t be the anti-Christ because he is at the top of all of our lists.

same difference

What do Americans really think about Dubya?
What do the American people really think about Dubya? And I am not just talking about the blacks, homosexuals, Jews, the lonely and the damned to hell.

First O’Neil , then Clarke , then Powell …add another to the list
How many times are insiders going to tell you about this Bush administration before you quit lying to yourself?
