Another sex tape much like the one that came out of Abu Ghraib prison earlier this year starring Lynndie England has surface from Iraq.
Evidently copies of this tape have been circulating around bases all over Iraq and eventually some “outraged” soldier brought it to the attention of the British Royal Military Police Special investigation Branch and the Ministry of Defense.
I thought there weren't supposed to be gays in the military?
Just kidding.
On this particular tape, unlike the Abu Ghraib sex tape, this one actually involves some pretty cute military chicks, which I am told was rare in-an-of-itself, cute military chicks that is.
They might be cute going in, but there is something about doing push ups, throwing grenades and getting a crew cut that just doesn’t add to a woman’s femininity.
Many of the scenes in the video were too explicit to put screen captures with the article according to the articles I read on this.
Which basically means that this video was off the hook.
The girls in the video are referred to as Angie and Jane and are clearly shown writhing on top of each other and performing explicit sex acts on one another making this an instant classic.
Of course it should go without saying that they are being cheered on and encouraged the entire time by the male soldiers who are watching the show with things like “Go on bitch!”, “Rip her jeans down!”, “On your knees!” and my personal favorite “Get ‘em off!”
What I thought was interesting was that News of the world seems to be surprised that no guy on the video objects to this lesbian romp on moral grounds but only when their view is being obstructed by a fellow soldier trying to get a closer look.
Moral grounds?
One of the first things we need to confront head on before it gets too out of hand is allowing people to turn everything into a moral issue.
Until I come across information that would lead me to believe that this sexcapade was viewed or involved a minor then this isn’t a moral issue. This is sex between two consenting adults.
That my friend means that it is out of the bounds on moral criticism.
An adult is supposed to be someone who has all the faculties needed to be responsible for the decisions that they make for themselves.
Likewise a minor is supposed to be someone who isn’t capable, whether because of lack of life experience or what not to be responsible for the decisions that they make for themselves.
Obviously in our country we feel 18 is old enough to decide whether or not you want to sign up to fight and possibly die for your country but not if you want to buy a beer.
I guess the logic behind that is that 18 year olds are too dangerous to have around here drinking but dangerous is exactly what we are looking for when we go out and occupy foreign countries that have something we want.
Actions or behaviors that do not provoke suffering are not moral acts.
It can’t be immoral to wipe your nose a certain way for example, but it can be immoral to wipe it on someone.
Just because you don’t like something or you have a strong opinion one way or the other doesn’t mean that God does or that you need to start tossing out the morality flag.
Apparently the regiment where this took place, The Corps of Royal Engineers can trace their illustrious and distinguished imperialistic history back more than 900 years. “They can claim direct descent from the military engineers brought to England by William the Conqueror and have an unbroken record of service to the Crown since then.”
So maybe this tape stings a little more in England than it would here in the states because some of them are coming to the realization that even Royal Engineers like a girlie show.
However I am sure we yanks would be able to enjoy it just the same.
