Report: Cambodians Resort to Eating Rats

The legacy of Pol Pot is worse than I thought. Cambodia is like that woman that keeps getting her ass kicked by her boyfriend no matter who she dates.
You know who I am talking about don't you? Its that girl who essentially she keeps dating the same guy just with different names.
They may look different but eventually they all end up putting their hands on her when she fucks up like by not getting his beer fast enough or complaining after catching him with another women in their trailer.
In the case of Cambodia it's like, no matter what direction they seem to move into they keep ending up in the same place.or worse.
Cambodians recently slaughtered more than 25,000 chickens, ducks and swans in an effort to stop "Bird Flu" from spreading.
However once faced with a "meat shortage" they quickly switched to eating rat meat as a substitute.
As far as I am concerned Cambodians, who resorted to eating tree bark during the years of the Khmer Rogue, should be given an award for their cast iron stomachs.
When a Cambodian is hungry, he is going to eat something.
Unfortunately thanks to Pol Pot, who forced them to retool their dietary thresholds they have been left with stomachs strong enough to break down motor oil but without a discernable standard of what is edible and what isn't.
Just because you can kill it and eat it doesn't mean that you should.
Rats? Are you kidding me?
"I started selling rat meat over two weeks ago when people became afraid of eating chickens for fear of getting infected with bird flu," Chhun Sarom, a 38-year-old vendor, was quoted as saying. He says he sells around 130 pounds of rat meat daily.
So let me get this straight, your fear of disease and concern for your own health drew you away from chicken and possible "bird flu" but then you ran directly into the arms of the rat meat vendor at 20 cents a pound?
Shit, at that rate, as far as rats go, here in New York City I am sure if you laid enough bear traps around the alleys and subways stations you might be able to catch a few 60 dollar rats around here.
That might actually serve as an attractive alternative to drug slinging in America 's more economically depressed areas.
