boy knifes friend because he didn't want to die alone
Asian Drama. Don't get it twisted. It isn't about being emotional and hot-blooded. Far from it. Asian drama distinguishes itself from other culturally distinctive forms of self-created drama by being very much the opposite of histrionic and ardent.
No Asian Drama is about being calm, cool and collected. It's about the conclusions that you reach and how fucked up they are even though it appears that you've had time to think about what you did before you went and did it.
That's what makes Asian drama so entertaining.
Like for example, take Godzilla. Here is a 30 story tall monster that was born as a direct result of America dropping an atomic weapon on Japan .
He is basically a protest against them being on the ass end of a nuclear blast.
And what does it do? Every chance it gets it crawls out of the ocean and kicks the shit out of Tokyo.
Everytime I see Godzilla I almost wish the Japanese would stand their ground on the beach point and yell all at once "America's that way!!"
It could've just as easily crawled out of the ocean and attacked New York or San Diego couldn't it have?
That's how we would've told the story.
We find someone to blame for our problem, if the roles were reversed and it was the Japanese government which had dropped an atomic bomb on Pearl Harbor we'd write stories about how Godzilla came out from the ocean and went and kicked their ass.
In the latest example of Asian drama we have a suicidal high school student in Japan (who's name is being withheld) who felt he had nothing worth living for so he decided he was going to end his life.
That's nothing out of the ordinary, right? Shit happens all the time.
The only problem was that he also didn't want to die alone.
"I planned to commit suicide because I was disgusted with everything," police quoted the 16-year-old boy as saying. "But the idea of dying by myself made me feel lonely."
Well as you see that could be a slight problem.the dying alone part.
Well not for this kid, he didn't think it would be a problem at all. He figured he'd just sneak over to his friend's house, climb through his second-story window, walk into his bedroom and start stabbing his sleeping friend in the head with a knife.
Which is actually what he did.
His friend eventually kicked his ass, got the knife away from him, held him down until police arrived and only managed to walk away with minor injuries but what the fuck?
You don't want to die alone so you are going to take your friend out with you?
Am I the only one that sees how self-centered suicide is or are we just going to stay focused on how sad it is that this kid felt so alone and isolated that he contemplated taking his own life?
I feel for the depression and the feeling of hopelessness believe me I do. I battle with depression myself, but this is off the charts.
Scaling the wall of a building, climbing through a second story window to take out your friend while he is sleeping is too much.
If this kid that fucking lonely maybe they should hook him up with that old man that tired to derail a locomotive full of passengers because he believed his cat got hit by one.
They seem to need each other.
Japan Cult Guru Threatens To Take Revenge On All Humankind Yuko Chino, claims she is dying of cancer because of electromagnetic waves being sent out by communists. That's like me saying that I get sick whenever I eat rice grown by Buddhists. Could I trouble you to be a bit more specific?
