Now it has been purposed by historian David Lewis in his new book "A Man Who Created Hitler" Lewis says that Hitler basically became Hitler after being hypnotized in a German hospital in 1918.
He doesn't go so far as to say that "ol one nut" was a decent guy before 1918 but just that what happened in that hospital room on that fateful day in 1918 might have changed the world forever.
According to Lewis , Hitler had gone to the hospital because he believed he had been blinded by a gas attack.
The doctors that examined him could find no physical reason why he couldn't see. So they brought in Dr. Edmund Foster a leading psychologist in Germany at the time who theorized that he could cure Hitler of his psychosomatic blindness by hypnosis. He told Hitler that he had in fact become blinded but that God had made him an exceptional person and he could regain his eyesight again by will power alone.
The rest is history.
He regained his eye site and went off to kill six million Jews.
Problem number one.
Isn't it common practice by any hypnotist worth a damn that when you hypnotize someone you always add in a secret password or something just for circumstances like this?
You can't have motherfuckers running out of your offices barking like dogs and walking like chickens can you?

You need something that you can say or a sound that they can hear to basically start over if you have to.
I can't believe that he hypnotized Hitler, got him thinking he was the shit and then never got around to making up a password or some kind of trigger to get him to snap out of it.
I mean, I could see someone doing that but I doubt if they were that careless they would considered a "leader" in the field unless in 1918 hypnotism was basically fresh out of the box.

Well Foster eventually paid for his little miscalculation with his life when Hitler 's Gestapo ended up murdering Edmund Foster in 1933 after he allegedly tried to publish the details surrounding this infamous hypnotism session he had with the little "one nut" as well as his psychological portrait of then Chancellor Hitler .
