| Israeli Government Bans CNN for being pro-Palestinian |
Israeli experts in Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying demonstrated their technique in front of an audience Tel Aviv.
Evidently bouncing unassisted up and down on a foam mat is supposed to motivate no less than 500 volunteers into becoming a permanent group of people who would be asked to meditate in order to neutralize the acute ethnic and religious tensions that fuel violence in the region.
Creating a better world through meditation and a little less criticism.
Lazy bastards.
I guess meditating on mid-east peace is better than mobilizing 500 people to actually vote Ariel Sharon out of office or hiring a transcendental exorcist to scare Ariel Sharon towards some transcendental ghost busters so they can trap him in one of those transcendental rat traps that they used to catch poltergeist in is also too far fetched.
How many suicide bombings has the Israeli people had to endure since electing Ariel Sharon as their prime minister?
Yeah I've lost count too.
One way the Israeli government has decided to deal with the acute ethnic and religious tensions running rampant in the region is to stop carrying CNN.
And you thought the levitating super Jews was weird.
Yeah, the Israeli government decided to ban CNN from Israel because they say they couldn't afford it.
Yeah, right.
One minute Jews "run the media" and then the next minute they can't afford the FREE channels.
I guess carrying HBO this fall is completely out of the question.
Coincidentally the decision to ban CNN comes immediately on the heels of some harsh comments made by several prominent Sharon cabinet members that made it very clear that they felt CNN is too pro-Palestinian.
Hey I have to give them credit. At least they just came out and got it off their chest and they didn't once accuse anyone of being an anti-Semite.
Here in the states, calling someone a racist or an anti-Semite is the standard tactic for disarming any and all potential critics before they even get to make their point.
It serves to immediately move the argument away from the issue by suggesting that the real issue should be the accused defending his credibility while leaving the original issue unscathed.
Here in the states if you don't like Woody Allen movies you are an anti-Semite.
You could never get so far as to actually be accused of giving biased news coverage.
I always thought you had to hate someone because of they were Jewish to be anti-Semitic. I didn't know that included being critical of things a person says and does who just happens to be Jewish.
For the record, think Woody Allen used to be really funny and I am proud to say that I have been able to find a peaceful medium between appreciating his earlier films and distancing myself from the fact that he performs cunnilingus on his daughter...allegedly. |
