Drastic Shortage of Females in China Can Make Men Do Strange Things
Apparently a Chinese crime syndicate has been making a killing digging up female corpses and selling them to the desperate relatives of dead single men.
Business is so good in fact, one gang reported to have dug up at least five corpses a night. The price for a corpse bride varied according to age, with the younger brides being the most expensive.

Apparently any corpse in the graveyard from age 18 to 72 was considered fair game. Evidently the point is to get their dead male relatives "hitched" so that they can settle down in the spirit world.

My only guess is that since China put such tight restrictions on how many children a man and woman can have and since there is so much cultural emphasis placed on having a male child, it must've just became habit to "toss the daughters out with the bath water" so to speak.
Essentially, China "planned parenthooded” themselves into a situation where cocks outnumber the softer sex by like 5 to 1.
So in modern day China it isn't uncommon at all for a man to live his whole life and never get married because there just aren't enough women to go around.
Paying someone to dig up a corpse so that your son can get hitched in the afterlife is pathetic.
I hate to say it, but once again this is another example of those world famous coping skills that you get from Asian Culture that we are always talking about.
