If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and quacks like a duck it is a duck, right?
Well that only works if you know what the fuck a duck is.
In 1999, in a Texas town called Tulia almost 10% of the black population was sent to prison on the word of one police officer.
All of the suspects that were arrested had all been accused of being drug traffickers by a single police officer a.k.a. Super Cop Tom Coleman who routinely referred to black people as "niggers" and who claimed to have conducted an 18-month undercover operation.
However, no other police officer on the force could corroborate his undercover activities.
Coleman never wore a wire or conducted any video surveillance and had no records of his alleged drug buys.
Coleman said he sometimes wrote such important information as the names of suspects and the dates of transactions on his leg which he later washed off.
And yet still, in the face of all of that, in trial after trial, prosecutors put Mr. Coleman on the witness stand and his uncorroborated, unsubstantiated testimony was enough to send people to prison for decades.
In some instances, lawyers have now been able to show that there was no basis in fact for Mr. Coleman's allegations, and yet at one time people were being sentenced to 30 -300 years in prison just on his word alone.
The only reason these people were getting convicted and sentenced to these extreme 300 year sentences is because the prosecutors, the judges in fact the people of Tulia wanted these people convicted.
So fuck the whole idea that the system has checks and balances.
If this doesn't illustrate to you that the "system" is only as good as the people running it then you are hopelessly lost.
This is all fucking Bullshit. This kind of thing can't happen in the United States.
Wait, it gets better.
The handful of whites that this officer put away were all "coincidently" known to have had "relationships" with blacks.
One white guy was convicted and sentenced to 300 years in prison. He happened to be the father or a mixed-raced child.
Coincidence?
Yep.
Here is another kick in the balls the local media was often tipped off ahead of time so that they could be there to film and humiliate the suspects as they were arrested.
Not one single person arrested as a result of Tom Coleman's investigations had any cocaine on them or in their homes. None of them had any money to speak of nor lived a lifestyle that would suggest that they lived one penny better than their jobs could provide.
Among these alleged "drug traffickers" was a fucking a pig farmer and a forklift operator.
So why is it that these people with no drugs, no money or weapons were sent to court, prosecuted, convicted and often received sentences of 40-300 years in prison?
I am sure if this is happening to blacks then there is some black cop out there putting 10% of all the whites in some community in prison based soley on his word.
Yeah right, in what parallel dimension?
The courts, the white residents, as well as the local newspapers in Tulia, Texas all went to task on these alleged "drug traffickers" and drowned Coleman in praise despite the cries of the black community in Tulia.
In fact not many among the white community in Tulia questioned any of it.
One suspect Coleman tried to railroad got off only after his boss testified in court with a time sheet in hand that Billy Don Wafer was actually at work when Coleman said he had bought cocaine from him. The District Attorney Terry McEachern who had been prosecuting these cases had to drop another one when Coleman said that Yul Bryant was a tall black man with bushy hair and Bryant was actually 5 foot 6 and bald.
Another woman Tonya White came within the skin off her teeth of being convicted of selling cocaine to Coleman until it was discovered that she had cashed a check in fucking Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the time when she was supposedly selling cocaine to Coleman in Tulia, Texas.
However these were the rare exceptions.
The really unfortunate part of all of this is that many of the suspects needed to see nothing more than the kind of time that the judges were handing down based on just this one man's word and they began scrambling to plea bargain to get lesser sentences. So what we have now are lawyers basically having a very difficult time even getting them out of prison because essentially they plead guilty to the charges
Remember not one suspect was ever found with drugs, weapons, money or living beyond their means.
If more blacks are in prison than whites it's because blacks do more crime than whites. It is as simple as that.
Evidently to be a racist you need to collect Nazi memorabilia, listen to white pride punk compact discs or be in good with Jesse Helms. America wouldn't know a fucking duck if it shit on their porch. |
