When you choose a line of work where you will be working closely with crazy people you put your life at risk. You are even more at risk when you specialize in some crackerjack science because you are only going to attract the desperate people that legitimate medicine has disappointed. I admire the fact that there are people out there that want to help those who are fucked in the head, but no amount of schooling will help you accurately determine the depth of the damage in any man’s psyche. Psychology in fact is not a science. Science is when two parts hydrogen one part oxygen makes water every single time you do it. Science is mathematics. Every single time you add 2+2 you get 4 or two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen you get water. There aren't any formulas that psychology can point to show why a man would prefer to live his adult life dressed like a woman, or prefer having sex with farm animals over his own species. All psychology is good for is a shoulder to cry on and an educated guess.
An Italian property developer Cesare Fratazzi, 74, dressed up as a woman walked into his therapists office and shot his 91-year-old blind psychiatrist in the head, walking into another room and killing the psychologist's 74 year old wife before turning the gun on himself over his dissatisfaction with the “water magnetism” treatment he was receiving from them. For those of you that don’t know what “water magnetism” treatment is, join the club, I have no fucking clue what it is either. His psychoanalyst Emilio Dido, had been blind since he was two and had received nearly $130,000 for his "water magnetism" services to cure Mr. Fratazzi from dressing and acting like a bitch. Obviously things didn't going so well.
It was not clear why Fratazzi was dressed up as a woman. The water magnetism treatment Dido was practicing is not recognized in Italy as legitimate, so I am assuming Cesare was already hanging on his last vine when he agreed to go to this blind quack. Which leads me to believe that one can assume that when you are practicing some crackerjack psychology on people you are not going to be attracting the most stable patients. Most likely the people that you will get will be the kind of people that feel like the more “traditional” methods have already failed them. And is it so far of a stretch to also assume that the more traditional methods of treatment failed for a reason? |
