Can you follow the logic?
Indians believe that by smearing themselves in cow shit they can manage to somehow protect themselves from radiation burn and nuclear fallout as well as other such horrific after effects in the event of a nuclear war with Pakistan.
The Uttar Pradesh Cow Protection Commission whose primary mission is to prevent people from eating cows and promote the use of cow piss and shit for medicinal usage are also advocating smearing cow shit all over buildings as well.
Evidently, if cow shit works on people... why not the Taj Mahal?
How can you not laugh at this?
What scientific study are they refereeing too that says that cow shit has radiation nutralizing properties?
Evidently, now that Indians are growing more and more concerned about nuclear fallout with growing tensions with Pakistan they are looking to religious fundamentalist / "Cows are Holy" special interest groups for answers to how to save themselves.
How about opening up a fucking science book?
No wonder they hate the west.
Our very being just takes everything they know about the world and turns it upside down on its head.
We introduce the "thunder stick" and instead of saying "shit, these fuckers have us something up on us," they go demand that their witch doctors create bullet proof spells to protect them. We introduce nuclear weapons and instead of finding out what they do, or how they actually work they would rather hedge their bets that there is some magical properties in cow shit to protect them.
Radheshyam Gupta, a spokesman for the commission, said: "Even if the enemy carries out the threat to bomb us with nukes we don't have to panic. You can fully protect yourselves by covering the roof with cow dung. Applying cow dung paste to the body from head to toe will serve as an extra shield."

I seem to forget the part in "The Day After" where all of the farmers survived the nuclear war by diving head first in 8 foot tall piles of cow manure that they had laying around to use as fertilizer in the spring.
Then again I was just a kid when they originally aired that. I am guessing it just went over my head.
