The United States Supreme Court just said that it is cruel and unusual punishment to execute the retarded because they don't really have a clue why they are being executed.
Personally, I think that was the correct decision.
You can't hold a retard to the same standards as the rest of us.

If he was a car he's be a lemon and you would either take it back to whomever sold it to you or it would either be recalled by the manufacturer. Either way you'd be getting your money back. Since he is your kid and not a car you're stuck with it.

I for one am under no illusions that retards are not fully functional human beings so I believe they need to be governed under "special" rules. That is why I supported that woman that got her severally retarded son castrated. If she is his primary caregiver and he is getting more and more violent as puberty hits I believe the person most likely to be on the receiving end of one of his right hooks should be legally able to decide what steps need to be taken to insure that doesn't happen.
If that means cutting his balls off so be it.
I know a lot of people that feel bad for retarded people.
If I am not mistaken I think anything from a 75 IQ and below is legally retarded.
I think the exact IQ point varies from state to state but I am sure 75 is close to the general consensus.
So for the sake of argument let's just say that it is 75 points.
I don't feel half as bad for a legally retarded person that scored 75 on his IQ test as I do for the guy that scored a 76.
That single point of difference now literally means the difference between life and death.
I mean let's be honest. What is the difference between the guy that scored a 76 and the retard?

Seriously, the 76 dude is just as stupid for all practical purposes as the retard but he doesn't get the label so he doesn't get the services. He gets shoved into gen pop with all the rest of the normal kids.
And now the guy that scored a 75 gets his life spared while the guy that scored a 76 gets drawn and quartered because he managed to count to 7 before he got confused while the other guy stopped at 6.
Somehow it seems by correcting one wrong we have inadvertently created an even greater one. |
