People say that they hate negative campaigning. However they will reluctantly also admit that it’s the negative advertisements that they remember the most in the voting booth. So although they “say” that they hate them, by the fact that we still all vote off of these negative ad campaigns they continue to work.
Well Dubya says that Republicans made the right move by abruptly pulling an ad that attacked Al Gore’s truthfulness. Before you give him props on this, check out the ad they were going to run.
In the spot, Gore answers “absolutely not” when asked by a 6-year old whether he or the president had told a lie in the last two years. Without any reference to the date of the interview, the ad suggests that Gore is referring to the president’s affair with Monica Lewinsky — even though Clinton had yet to even meet the intern at the time.
Damn that is ruthless. This is like someone asking you if you like your job and you answering “Yes, very much so.” Then when I play the commercial it is of someone asking you if you like a horse to cum in your mouth after you suck it off and then I play the clip of you saying “Yes, very much so.”
Remember when McCain complained about Bush’s “push polling”, which is when someone calls you and asks you loaded questions in disguise as a “legitimate” poll? McCain can’t stand Bush. That is why he ran that ad comparing him to Clinton after all that shit came out about the push polling. Bush and his people are on their ends since Gore has past them in the polls after the Democratic convention. Republican nerves in Austin and Washington, which were already at least a little frayed because of Gore’s rise in the polls, were positively raw Wednesday night at as they engaged in finger-pointing over the pulled ad. I say “Good”.
Why don’t we just have a fucking debate on the issues. Isn’t that a novel idea? Fuck the commercials, say what you want and how you will go about doing it and let’s get it over with. The Bush camp doesn’t want debates because that will give Gore a platform to rant on about all of the good things that have happened to this country economically since 1992 and Bush doesn’t want you to hear that shit. Al Gore has accepted over 200 debate proposals and Dubya hasn’t accepted one. Dubya stop having your image people try putting your ass in the presidency and you lift a finger and do something. Enroll in a political science 101 college level course so you can understand (if you pass) how the system actually works, maybe learn the names of some of the countries you will be dealing with (a world geography 101 wouldn’t hurt either) and go out and campaign like a fucking man. You did this shit with McCain with the push polling “allegedly” and now you are “allegedly” doing it with Gore. I am not giving you props for cutting out this ad before it ran. You only pulled the ad because you thought you couldn’t get away with it. With the push polling it was your word verses his with a television ad you would have been stuck. |
