Peter Corrandino sued T.G.I Friday’s and won 125,000 dollars because the other female employees were touching him and grabbing his cock. I know what you are saying to yourself right now. So what is the problem? Well I don’t know either.
He tried to get support from other male employees and predictably they started calling him a fag and a queer and questioned why he didn’t like what the females were doing. Without the name calling part, I think they were asking pretty sound questions.
Corradino says he had a girlfriend at the time. So? His girlfriend had better been pretty fine and the women at Friday’s had better been pretty hit. Which I doubt they were that ugly or the guys whom he sought for support would not have asked why he didn’t enjoy it.
He says that he would wake up in the morning and not want to go to work. I am still at a loss.
Evidence presented in the case found that T.G.I. Friday's Inc. failed to take corrective action when it learned of the harassment, and that Corradino incurred retaliation for complaining.
See women understand that sex and the work place should be separate. Most men don’t. Especially if their cocks are the object of the ladies' attention. That is not harassment, that is added incentive to get to work early each morning.
Corradino testified that the abuse contributed to his breakup with his girlfriend. Why does she even know about it?
What made the verdict all the more important was that Corradino's case hinged almost entirely on his word alone. The sole supporting witness was his father, who did not witness the harassment. Instead, he told the jury about the harassment his son reported in their regular telephone conversations.
Son: Dad the women at work are all grabbing my cock.
Dad: That’s my boy.
Son: But dad, girls are gross.
Dad: You sound just like your mother.
At the trial, company representatives testified that Corradino didn't complain until the following April, shortly before he quit.
Company officials said they took corrective measures, but they couldn't produce any written reprimands they had issued employees.
The last straw came when Corradino tried to transfer to another T.G.I. Friday's in the north, and found out he had been effectively blackballed. The jury awarded Corradino $100,000 to compensate him for pain and suffering caused by the sexual harassment. Whoa.
The jury also awarded him $25,000 for suffering incurred by his filing a complaint, and $500 in lost pay.
