Personally I don’t buy it when people get into prison and get religion. I am not a religious man myself, and I know if anything would get me to believe that bullshit, it would be prison. However, taking on religion shouldn’t be a way of getting a death sentence commuted to life. Regardless if you are for or against capital punishment, why should it matter if you have found religion or not? Are we only supposed to execute atheists?
The reason I say Bush is a coward is because when asked why he didn’t commute Karla Tucker's sentence instead of saying because I think she should be executed because that is the law here in Texas and we have killed 112 people since I took Governorship why should she be any different?…he said that he prayed on it all night with God, and God told him to abide by the laws of the Great state of Texas.
Since when does God defer to the man-made laws in the Great State of Texas when deciding on questions regarding the sanctity of life? And I wonder why when Governor Bush, who is against abortion, when he converses with God on that particular issue, why doesn’t God answer that he should just abide by the laws of the Great United States of America? If you are for capital punishment just say "Hell yeah I think she should die." and just leave it at that. Don't bring God in to it.
