| Fire Chief Poses For Photo With Charred Corpse |
According to the Associated Press a fire captain in Minneapolis, Minnesota is about to lose his job for propping the corpse of a woman’s body found in a burned down home that had been charred and burnt to a crisp, wrapping his arms around her torso and posing for a picture.
"There is nothing in our protocol that would dictate for someone to take a picture like that,'' Fire Chief Rocco Forte said.
The body was of 38 year-old Gardenia Turner. She had apparently died of smoke inhalation during the fire.
Turner's body was found April 7 after an ex-boyfriend told police she was in the house when it burned two weeks earlier. The house was engulfed when firefighters arrived and too unstable for them to enter. At the time they believed it was abandoned. A day later, authorities razed the only wall left standing and that is when they found Turner.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. |
