Obese man dies after being pulled from Tub`in a house of horrors
A morbidly obese man who was living in a Beacon Hill ``house of horrors'' died Tuesday say city officials after firefighters spent two hours prying his fat ass out of a bathtub.
``We literally ended up smashing the bathtub with tools to break it away,'' said Steve MacDonald, spokesman for the Boston Fire Department. ``It took 10 firefighters to carry him downstairs.''
Apparently after 400 plus pound 49-year-old Rexford Pearce was greased up and pulled from the tub he suffered a heart attack and died.
To make it worse, as if it could get worse after emergency crews had to make their way through the mounds of garbage, urine and blood all over the house to get to his fat ass the city of Boston condemned the apartment.
I know your mom always told you that if you didn’t clean up your bedroom the city would condemn your shit, but I had no idea that they actually did condemn people’s apartments!
``It was a house of horrors,'' MacDonald said. ``There was trash everywhere.''
Pearce shared this nasty apartment with a woman, Chandra Batra, 30, whom I am willing to bet was not much smaller than his fat ass. It was unclear whether Batra was home at the time of the incident.
Other than ``seeing papers under the door,'' neighbors said they were unaware of the squalor Pearce and Batra lived in.
