| Woman tried three times to run over a neighbor and seven children. |
Sheilah Alderman, 42, was at the end of the block sitting at a stop sign in her blue Dodge four-door revving the engine. That is apparently when Tabitha Pettry's spider sense started tingling.
Tabitha was pushing her 13-month old daughter in a stroller along the sidewalk with a parade of stepchildren and relative behind her. She knew Sheilah was one crazy bitch. Hell, everyone knew it. But this was even odd for Sheilah.
Then it happened.
Sheilah floored her car, squealing the tires and drove completely across the road, over the fucking curb, onto the grass and ran Tabitha and the seven children with her all into a ditch. Not done, Sheilah turned her Dodge around and drove towards them a second time, missed again and started to back up towards them again when a neighbor jumped in his truck and blocked her path with his vehicle. Some of the children with Tabitha were almost too young to get out of the way.
No one was injured, (thank god) but Sheilah was arrested and later released from the Hernando County Jail late Tuesday on $1,000 bail. She could not be reached for comment, although a report said she denies the incident ever took place.
How did this all begin?
A simple phone call.
On December 16, 2000 a black couple moved into the area east of Brooksville. And Sheilah, who is white, immediately took a disliking to them. "You niggers won't stay in that house for long because I'm going to have some of my skinhead friends run you off," Sheilah threatened Mertis McGee and Norris Colbert, according to a police report the couple filed with deputies. The couple had no phone at the time, so they asked to use Tabitha's to report Sheilah to the police. And Tabitha, who is white, let them. "I'd help any neighbor who needed it," Tabitha said.
When deputies showed up to talk with Sheilah, she just pulled out the old tried and true, "uh, I don't know what you are talking about, why is everyone picking on little old me," retort. She denied everything. No arrests were made, although Sheilah was warned to stay off their property.
However authorities were called back to Tabitha's and Sheilah's homes three more times in December. Apparently Tabitha had broken the unspoken "American Nazi KKK White supremacists John Ashcroft" code of ethics by letting two blue-gummers use the telephone to alert police to Sheilah's, hmmm.how would John Ashcroft put it? "Magnanimous true American hero" activities.
When a deputy went to investigate one particular complaint on Dec 23. Sheilah hadn't gotten off the property before they arrived so she couldn't say that she wasn't there this time. Well, I mean she could deny it, but that wouldn't be half as believable as all of the other times Sheilah denied any knowledge of anything her neighbors were in the habit of calling the police on her for. So Sheilah just went for broke and lunged at the officer, and after a brief scuffle, Sheilah was pepper-sprayed, put in handcuffs and hauled off to jail on charges of assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
I am sure if you asked Sheilah finding her on the property was just a coincidence. She had never been there before. All the other times Tabitha had just been lying on her.
The incident with the pepper spray only made Sheilah angrier, Tabitha said.
"She told me I cost her $525 (in bail money), and she was going to get me," said Tabitha, who is two months pregnant. This time before Sheilah bailed out of jail Tuesday evening, the Tabitha went out and got a restraining order.
I am sure Sheilah is scared now.
I think every restraining order should come with a free pistol.
