In the USAtoday Christine Brennan was going off on women broadcasters, two in particular, Jill Arrington and Jillian Barberie and how they were throwing women and sports journalism back into the stone ages because Jill Arrington wore a tank top on camera while she was broadcasting from the sidelines of Virginia Tech-Miami game, and the other one is just a plain idiot.

I am not sure which one is which at the moment, but that is not important.

Once again, guys 18-35 are not confusing sports broadcasters news reporting with Meet The Press. Brennan asks, "what ever happened to elegance and sophistication" in response to the tank top incident? This is sports reporting for god sakes.

I would rather have Danni Ashe in a bikini on the sidelines of Lambeau field with her nipples showing thru her top telling me what down it is and how many yards my team have to go to get a first down than Barber Walters any day of the week.

We don't want sophistication and elegance in our sideline reporters we want to know what down it is and if that information comes in the form of a busty blond in a tank top I have four words for ya "Thank God For America!"

We love Jill Arrington for the same reason we don't want plot in our porn. Don't act like telling us that our quarterback left the game with a hamstring pull is the same as covering a speech given by Alan Greenspan. Please, put this into context. Now would Jillian Barberie be my first choice for interviewing the President of the United States during a constitutional crisis? No way, but this is not that fucking serious, an interview with the president is not meant to be entertainment. Its primary objective is to be informative. The most difficult question you have to ask anyone in sports, at anytime is "what are you going to do to stop the rush next half coach?" How hard can that be?

A woman could have the brains of fucking Stephen Hawkin and we are still going to notice her tits, face and ass before anything else. That will never change in that demographic and I don't care how many Mitch Alboms you find in this world to poo poo what CBS and FOX have allegedly done by bringing two beautiful women into the "sports journalism" field. They did the right thing considering their audience and what you are being asked to do. You are being asked to ask simple questions to "juiced up" Neanderthals that are incapable of answering a question without using a cliché anyway. If you are that damn smart and ambitious you shouldn't be wasting your time talking to an audience that is zoning you out any damn way. You should be out busting George Dubya drunk driving or something.
