Giant Cockroaches Were Alive Before the Dinosaurs.
It's official. This planet belongs to the cockroach. This planet isn't even on loan. It is theirs. We can't even kill them off without killing ourselves off in the process.
Scientists are now saying that Giant cockroaches were alive millions of years before the dinosaurs and when I say "Giant" I am not exaggerating.
Scientists found a 300 million-year-old fossil of a Giant cockroach so complete that you could make out the veins on its wings and bumps on its body. It was over 3 ½ inches long and was so big that the scientist that found it could see its legs and antennae folded around its body as well as its mouth parts.
The roach lived during the Carboniferous period, when Ohio, where it was found, was just a giant tropical swamp.
If necessity is the mother of invention then you can understand why Cockroaches don't have research facilities studying different strands of communicable diseases or Astronomers plotting out the orbit of Near Earth Objects. The reason why cockroaches don't have shit like that is because they don't need shit like the CDC or NASA. The reason you don't hear about Cockroaches worrying about NEO's is because there hasn't been an asteroid yet that has been able to do a damn thing to them.
Roaches don't worry about smallpox, anthrax, pollution, or Ebola.
300 million years is a long time. Roaches have seen a lot of shit come and go. To live that long you have been doing something right.
