'God' monkey sits through lecture before 'studying' in library
God made a surprise appearance today at an economics lecture at an Indian college.
In the form of a monkey.
Not quite as popular a form to appear in here in the United States. Here we expect to see God appear in the form of wining super lotto tickets, Elvis or a winning field goal. But I guess when your God you are obligated to live up to the expectations of your audience. So in India when you come to say "hello", I guess you bring your monkey suit. A monkey sat quietly through an economics lecture at an Indian college before going to the library and flipping through a holy book.
"The monkey was so calm and dignified, it did not harm anyone. After it located the Ramayana it became almost certain that Hanuman had made an appearance," a lecturer told Sify News
Just like all it takes is one Catholic in New York City to see the shape of the Virgin Mary's face in the mildew growing inside her kitchen window to have people lining up outside her apartment for blocks, holding candles and singing hymns. If
anyone should know God from a mildew stain it would be them right? So it doesn't surprise me in the least that the students in this class Madanpur Mahabir College in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, are convinced that this monkey that climbed into their class through an open window was the incarnation of Hanuman. The students claim that the monkey listened to the lecture with "rapt attention".
Then it went into the library and looked at the Ramayana, a Hindu holy book, then sat a statue of the monkey god Hanuman before quietly leaving the college.
Could this be God making peace?
