I
think a parents main job is to make their children grow up to be,
independent, productive, law abiding, participating members of society. I love my parents. But does it make me a bad
child because when they die I will have absolutely no reservations
whatsoever about getting them out of my house, assuming if they
die in my house, before they start to rot? Am I a bad son because
it isn't inconceivable to me that
one day I will have to live in this world without them being around
to co-sign every loan that I apply for?
Me personally, I think it is already unnerving enough that when
you view a body at a funeral that the corpse never looks how the person did when they were alive. Of course I know
that they are dead, but I am talking the cosmetic shit. You know,
hair style, how they wear the makeup, facial expression. So if I
already have a problem with that then I am sure as hell that if
my parents have completely decomposed somewhere in my house that
feeling I get from looking at them in that state would be about
100 times worse than a bad haircut, too much eye makeup and a facial
expression on them like someone put an ice cube up their butt.
In
San Luis Obispo, California, a woman lived with the corpse of her
dead mother, rotting in the bed where she took her last breath,
sine 1995 because the bitch couldn't deal with parting with her
mother.
Fuck that. That is not love. That is a severe lack of coping skills.
An
autopsy revealed that the body belonged to the owner of the home,
who appeared to have died in February 1995, when she was 95.
They
were asked to check on her welfare by officials at a retirement
agency who were curious about why one of their clients hadn't been
cashing her checks for the past two years, according to reports.
When they arrived they were invited inside by a 63-year-old woman
later identified as the dead woman's daughter. Police said that
as soon as they walked in the home they were hit with the death
funk and went to looking for the body.
Unlike
most case, the neighbors didn't say things like, "Oh,
my god I never would have suspected this could happen in that house".
One of the woman's next door neighbors, Linda Hayes, wasn't surprised. "She was very to herself and
talked to herself sometimes," Hayes told reporters. "She just seemed to be in her
own world."
The woman is undergoing treatment at a mental health facility. She
won't be charged with anything.
An autopsy revealed that her mother died of natural causes.
